Eighth Army Veterans City of Manchester |
The pen portraits you can access from these pages are biographical accounts of representative members, all surviving as at October 2005. Wartime experiences are a common bond but we have come a long way in the sixty years since the war ended. Contrary to popular belief, we do not emerge on Remembrance Sunday and then hibernate for 364 days. Our members are from diverse backgrounds and have an extraordinary range of active interests, ambitions and grandchildren.
