Mary Blood

Mary Blood (nee Petit) served in the W.A.A.F. from 1940 until 1945.  At the end of the war she was stationed in Brussels, where she met her future husband, Harry Blood, who had served with the Eighth Army.

Mary has written a full account of her wartime memories for the BBC, which is part of their excellent WW2 Peoples War Project.  With her kind permission it is reproduced her as a Pen Portrait.  The account is more lengthy than the other Pen Portraits we have included.  Accordingly, we have included links to the various chapters.
